GRANT:                       Planning / Consultant Grants
Funding Agency:          Georgia Humanities Council
Deadline:                      July 3, 2007 - October 1. 2007
Local Match:                 50% of the total project. Match may be cash or in-kind.
Eligible Applicants:            
School, Libraries, Historical Societies, Museums, Government Agencies, Cultural Organization, Non-Profits
Eligible Projects:
Projects by small or grassroots organizations which intend to initiate a humanities program. The grants enable organizations to consult with a humanities scholar or experienced planner to develop thorough work plan for the project.

GRANT:                           Special Programs Grants
Funding Agency:              Georgia Humanities Council
Deadline:                          July 3, 2007 - October 1, 2007
Local Match:                     50% of the total project. Match may be cash or in-kind.
Eligible Applicants:
Schools, Libraries, Historical Societies, Museums, Colleges and Universities, Government Agencies, Cultural Organizations, and Non-Profits.
Eligible Projects:
Programs which build on previously-planned or nearby public programs or which add humanities components to other types or projects. With special program grants, organizations may develop a symposium in conjunction with an exhibit or underwrite an appearance by a speaker who is already in the area. Special program grants may also support book discussions, speaker series or traveling exhibit fees.

GRANT:                              Public Program Grants
Funding Agency:                 Georgia Humanities Council
Deadline:                             October 1, 2007
Local Match:                        50% of the total project. Match may be cash or in-kind.
Eligible Applicants:               
Schools, Libraries, Historical Societies, Museums, Colleges and Universities, Government Agencies, Cultural Organizations and Non-Profits.
Eligible Projects:
Humanities projects in a variety of formats: exhibits, extended book, film discussion, or speakers series, oral history collection projects, heritage interpretative programs, community forums, or conferences. Grantees are encouraged to work collaboratively with other public or non-profit organizations to develop public humanities programs which contribute to community-balding efforts in their area.

GRANT:                                Teacher Enrichment Grants
Funding Agency:                   Georgia Humanities Council
Deadline:                               October 1, 2007
Local Match:                          50% of the total project. Match may be cash or in-kind.
Eligible Applicants:
Schools, Libraries, Historical Societies, Museums, Colleges and Universities, Government Agencies, Cultural Organizations and Non-Profits.
Eligible Projects:
Projects which support staff development and curriculum planning opportunities for teachers in Georgia's primary and secondary schools. Projects should encourage interaction between teachers and humanities professionals at colleges and universities, libraries and museums.
